I initially had a wonderful experience here with Dr. Lopez, who was attentive and professional. However, after she went on leave, my care was transferred to Dr. Parvathi Nanjundiah, which was a nightmare. I felt completely unheard and was treated as if I were an addict rather than a patient seeking help for ADHD. The experience felt dismissive and potentially biased, leaving me feeling overwhelmed and judged. No patient should be made to feel this way when seeking mental health support. I am sharing this to ensure others are aware of the lack of empathy and professional listening I experienced.

Finding a provider like Dr. Lopez was a blessing; she made me feel hopeful and respected. However, my experience with Dr. Parvathi Nanjundiah has been an absolute nightmare. Being transferred to her care felt like a betrayal of my trust. For the first time, I felt the heavy sting of being treated like an addict rather than a patient, and I felt targeted by a clear, underlying tone of racism. It is devastating to be ignored and judged when you are at your most vulnerable. Her dismissive attitude towards my ADHD and mental health needs was beyond hurtful. I am speaking out so no other patient has to endure the emotional exhaustion and pain of being treated with such prejudice.
